The iPad

A Review without touching

Introduced Wednesday 27th January 2010 the product all have been waiting to see. Its name iPad.

Why? Because the iPad is basically a pad. An electronic pad. It is based on Apple's tried and trusted technology that made the iMac, iPod, iTouch and iPhone world famous. Now that same style and fashion has become the next 'iWant'.

From it's launch, Steve Jobs showed just how simple and clean, a new Apple product really could journey from dream to reality. It is not just the hardware that Apple design, they create a new culture. The iPad will become as familiar to all as the iPhone changed the way people saw the computer in the palm of their hand.

Newspapers, documents, stories, books, music, games all can and will be there for the reader. There will be those who say 'Its a pad from Star Trek' or 'Was that not in whatever the film was'.

Well maybe so, but this is real. Just think of the paper it will save.

Whatever people think now it will be here in less than 60 days.

A review without touching it. Easy really. Just look at its style, it's Apple, it's cool, it's an icon.

  1. Can't argue with anything Mark said, really. I just bought an ipod touch last week to replace my stolen ipod classic. It's a true wonder of technology and I have no doubt that the ipad will take it's place in the hall of all-time greats. Personally, i'll probably wait until it's on 2nd or 3rd generation before jumping in. By then, we'll know whether developers have embraced the platform and any technical bugs will be smoothed out. No coincidence, either, that the movie used to demonstrate the device was the new Star Trek.

  2. I want one, but I have no idea what I'd use it for... I think it looks pretty cool but I reckon it'll be more of a stepping stone to other things.

  3. Thanks Steve. There was a comment made by the American press that in the past two weeks two major companies had presented new products. The difference everyone will remember Apple, but who remembers what Google said.
Jobs did not just sell you the product as I said, he sold his cultural change. Google? To be honest, they just got passed by.
As for Star Trek. Cant wait to see it on a HD iPad at that.

And yes Sarah it will be a stepping stone for many to see how well Apple make products. And to see their culture.

    Thanks both. :)
